It is village under Garkha police staition of saran district. The village has given noted politecian of Bihar like late Shri vishwnath mishra and was identified by there wrestlers in pre independece era.Noted freedome fighter late sree Shyambahadur singh whose contribution in 1942 uprising in balliya up is well knownwas born to this village. famous poet Dr Kishori Sharan Sharma was born to this place and is a noted Lucknow based poet. His book maa and kampan has got world wide publicity.
